│ According to the press release accompanying this ace little 7" │
│ Various Production are currently being chased by Warp, Planet Mu │
│ and Leaf, understandable pressure considering the impact made by │
│ this rather delightful debut. What we have here is an A-side cut │
│ throbbing with all the accurate low-end padding familiar to │
│ sublow freaks out there, matched with an alien female vocal, │
│ somehow merging a folk slant with something beautifully │
│ futuristic. The flipside cut opts for a distant Bluegrass │
│ emission, a million miles removed from the teched-up production │
│ on the opener. This is a curiousity, but one that manages to │
│ excite without a hint of pretension or wanton zaniness - a │
│ rarity indeed. Get in there quick - a gem of a record. │
