|  DJ/Producer Gavin Hardkiss debuted as Hawke with the release of           |
|  Namaquadisco in 1998. Born in South Africa, he moved to the U.S. in the   |
|  late '80s. The experimental music scene captivated him around the time    |
|  he started attending the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and   |
|  different festivals in the New York area. In 1991, Gavin Hardkiss         |
|  settled in San Francisco. DJing and composing became the way to express   |
|  himself in the music field. Hawke returned in 2002 with an 11-track       |
|  record called Heatstroke, featuring the club/dance hit "Party People      |
|  (We're Gonna Change the World)."                                          |
