Release Notes
Fluorescence is a luminescence where a molecule absorbs a high-energy photon
and re-emits it as a lower-energy photon. The lower-energy photons reaching
our retinas allow an alternative view to the world of colours.
Combining fluorescent artwork with high-energy, multi-layered music creates a
mind bending atmosphere that is also called the trance dance experience.
This compilation is a sonic manifestation of those vibrating photons piercing
the air, rebuilding the whole palette. Complex patterns in surreal colours,
making the usual feel unusual, changing and challenging the human perception
of reality.
Our sonic shamans have been utilising high technology to capture the
ultraviolet-filled intensive nightly moments of trance dance events. The
result is throbbing bass mingled with tingling high frequencies, dancing
together with fluoronauts bathing in ultraviolet light.

THE STORY:
While the first Tranceform compilation Blissful Moments (released in 2003)
was a compilation focusing on the light, uplifting morning'y goa-trance,
Fluorotronik was planned to be it's counterpart - a compilation with focus on
high-intensity nighttime killers. Still equally melodic as Blissful Moments,
but with melodies that are more brutal, darker and adrenaline-fuelled.
Fluorotronik was originally scheduled for a CD release on Tranceform Records
in 2005. Actually even the CD's were manufactured in 2005, but due to losing
passion for this kind of music Transform Records' operations were put on hold
and the CD's were scrapped by the pressing plant since they ended up being in
their storage for too long without being shipped to a distributor.
Many people have been asking what's the story behind Fluorotronik and will it
ever see the light of the day. On Friday the 13th of October 2017 the
compilation will finally see the blacklight of the night.
So why the release now? Since so many people have asking about this for so
long, Fluorotronik deserves to be released. What made it possible was the
support of following people who by buying the old Tranceform Records back
catalogue releases financed this release: Chris Roquet, Elias 'Agneton' Gits,
Jeroen Telen, Joost De Loor, José Ramirez, Kieron Burke, Peter Psymon, Ran
'Itstroobalica' Noama, Tina Mico, Zion Rajpurker. Thanks also to Pasi
Kärkkäinen for lending the technical equipment needed for recovering the
original production masters.
