██▓▓ can go the extension of the frontiers of the ██▓▓
██▓▓ electronic music scene, how many places can ██▓▓
██▓▓ it reach around the globe. What are the ██▓▓
██▓▓ limits for the spreading of the quality ██▓▓
██▓▓ sound waves? Who can imagine how far can it ██▓▓
██▓▓ go, how many life can it change forever? ██▓▓
██▓▓ Even the most isolated lands were exposed to ██▓▓
██▓▓ the sonorities charged with special ██▓▓
██▓▓ contents, one time or another. Many miles ██▓▓
██▓▓ from wherever you are is the land of ██▓▓
██▓▓ Arnvidur Snorrason, located on the extreme ██▓▓
██▓▓ north of Europe, most precisely Iceland. His ██▓▓
██▓▓ influences, though, came from far, far away: ██▓▓
██▓▓ ôto name a few, I would mention Jeff Mills, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Robert Hood and the Basic Channel of the duo ██▓▓
██▓▓ Moritz Von Oswald and Mark Ernestusö, he ██▓▓
██▓▓ claims very honestly. ██▓▓
██▓▓ Extremely connected to the electronic ██▓▓
██▓▓ environment, Exos, whose philosophy was ██▓▓
██▓▓ meant to represent a kind of ôUndefined ██▓▓
██▓▓ Flexibleö line of production, absorbed very ██▓▓
██▓▓ early the influences of the Detroit Techno ██▓▓
██▓▓ productions. ôTheir sound floated around the ██▓▓
██▓▓ world with massive influences. A huge ground ██▓▓
██▓▓ for their music was elaborated in Europe, ██▓▓
██▓▓ but not in the U.S. like with most Jazz ██▓▓
██▓▓ producers. The thing is that the Detroit ██▓▓
██▓▓ members held up a strong connection society, ██▓▓
██▓▓ and that might be the reason for their ██▓▓
██▓▓ spectacular consolidationö, he confessed, ██▓▓
██▓▓ very addicted to their philosophy. ██▓▓
██▓▓ During the winter of 1998, Exos adventured ██▓▓
██▓▓ on the realm of the ██▓▓
██▓▓ deep-minimal-dub-atmospheric techno ██▓▓

██▓▓ Sampler. The tunes main ideas were ██▓▓
██▓▓ æcoolnessÆ and æprotectionÆ, and it was ██▓▓
██▓▓ specially dedicated to the authorÆs father. ██▓▓
██▓▓ Arnvidur called the tune ôSvaliö, a name ██▓▓
██▓▓ that signified coolness in his native ██▓▓
██▓▓ language û but it was switched to ôMayaö ██▓▓
██▓▓ later. ██▓▓
██▓▓ This EP, released originally by ThorÆs Thule ██▓▓
██▓▓ label from Iceland, was named ôExosö by the ██▓▓
██▓▓ stores salesmen, but the Thule gang (from ██▓▓
██▓▓ ThorÆs icelandic techno label) decided it ██▓▓
██▓▓ would be named ôYellow Yardö. Thor had a ██▓▓
██▓▓ huge influence on Arnvidur SnorrasonÆs life. ██▓▓
██▓▓ Through their friendship, Exos could learn a ██▓▓
██▓▓ lot and grow up as a professional. A while ██▓▓
██▓▓ later, it called the attention of the ██▓▓
██▓▓ germans from the respected Force Inc. Music ██▓▓
██▓▓ Works label: ôThorÆs girlfriend gave me a ██▓▓
██▓▓ call when I got my new date. It almost blew ██▓▓
██▓▓ meö, tells Exos, remembering that he was ██▓▓
██▓▓ driving when he was informed about the ██▓▓
██▓▓ germanÆs interest. ôShe told me that she got ██▓▓
██▓▓ Force Inc. Music Works on the other lineö. ██▓▓
██▓▓ In 1999, the recently released twelve inch ██▓▓
