| BAABA - live project featuring music by Bartosz Weber |
| (bartweba/m.bunio.s, Mitch&Mitch), with musicians and creative |
| contributors: Macio Moretti/Wojtek Mazolewski/Tomasz Duda. The |
| first record by BAABA, published by CPT. SPARKY, was highly |
| acclaimed by critics of the most respectable music and culture |
| magazines (including Machina, Antena Krzyku). The second |
| 'electronic' album by BAABA entitled "Con Gas" (TEETO Records), |
| featuring acoustic contributions was described as one of the most |
| original electronica ever made in Poland. The music itself is a |
| combination of breakbeats and abstract vibes as well as melodies |
| taken from cartoon movies and Polish series. |
| |
| Live BAABA features improvisations based on electronic |
| compositions put within frames of jazz/breakbeat/circus genres as |
| well as collective improvisation. The live (acoustic / electronic) |
| set up includes: Macio Moretti (dr; dddlay/sampler) of |
| Mitch&Mitch, Bassisters Orchestra, MALY SZU, founder of numerous |
| projects, including 3 IDIOTS, a drum trio with Pavel Fajt and |
| Andrzej Zaleski; |
| Tomek Duda (saxophones), member of SAKSOFORT Wojtek Mazolewski |
| (db) of Pink Freud/Bassisters Orchestra, greatgreatgreat double |
| bass player; Bartosz Weber (g, sampler) áMembers of Baaba (BW, NK, |
| TD) have been awarded main prizes at the 'Nowa Sciezka' (New |
| Soundtrack- 04.2002) festival of new, original music for silent |
| movies from the beginning of the XX century. |

| The live set up have played several respected venues and |
| festivals, including the Bydgoszcz Mozg, the JVC Festival (Warsaw) |
| and JAZ Festival in Zabrze as well as Terra Polska (Berlin 2004), |
| Lille 2004 and Warsaw Summer Jazz Festival 2004 receiving |
| enthusiastic welcome and reviews. |
