Naoki Kenji ist mit seinem jetzt achten Album zurueck.
Traditionell ist es mit AKTATOMBO japanisch betitelt. Und
ebenso traditionell traegt es den mit LIBELLE zu
uebersetzenden Titel aus mehrfachgutem Grund. Wie die
Libelle hat Naoki im Laufe seiner Karriere verschiedene
Entwicklungsstadien durchlaufen - bis hin zum arrivierten
Musiker und Videokuenstler, der er heute ist. Ebenso
wirken die 12 Titel des Albums, als schwebten sie wie
schillernde Koerper von transparenten Fluegeln getragen
ueber einem herbstlichen See. Zunaechst geradezu meditativ
ueber einem Nebelschleier stillstehend, dann sich langsam
und schliesslichbehaende in Richtung Abendsonne
fortbewegend. Der Eingangstrack 'Sideway Swing' verbreitet
dank des Zupfbasses ein vergleichbar federndes Wohlgefuehl
wie der legendaere D&B-Track 'Circles' von Adam F.Ebenso
muehelos wickelt Kenji den Zuhoerer mit dem angeshuffelten
Summernight-Groover 'Final Approach' um seinen Finger.
Absolut unschlagbar bleibt Naoki jedoch auch diesmal, wenn
er Female Vocals einbezieht, um die Schwelle vom Track zum
Song zu uebertreten. Sei es in Form der Electro-Perle 'Tu
Mirada', oder mit dem besenweich gestreichelten Franko-
Tagtraum 'Ce Nuage'. Weiterer Hoehepunkt auf AKTATOMBO ist
zum einen das betoerende 'You Make Me Whole' und zum
anderen das lyrisch ernsthafte "Stakes Are High", in dem
Saengerin Carla Vallet auf die beunruhigende politische
Weltlage hinweist
