| proper dancefloor bombs & remixes from the likes of Brett |

| Swag, Charles Webster, Future beat alliance, Jeff Bennett, |
| Optimus and many more. |
| The releases have all found their various ways into the crates of |
| what reads like a who's who of the international & modern |
| underground dj nomenklatura: |

| It is now time for the Belgian label to deliver a first mixed |
| compilation to showcase some of its recent highlights with an |
| array of future bombs and a few unreleased, rare or forthcoming |
| x-tra cuts from like-minded labels & artists and it's up to |
| Hi-Phen's head honcho and Belgian dj veteran Geoffroy aka Mugwump |
| to put together a cool club mix ... Being a well known figure |
| from the Belgian dance scene for more than a decade with the |
| likes of The Glimmers and - his Hi-Phen partner- Koenie (from |
| Wally's Groove World/Wonka/Mayaku), Geoffroy regularly performs |
| as a dj on the continent ( in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, |
| Switzerland,...) and has travelled beyond (in the US, Russia, |
| Israδl and in the UK too where he has already guested over the |
| years at various spots such as Space, The Bomb, Scuba, The End, |
| Secret Sundaze, the Sub Club to name but a few). His excellent |
| dancefloor expertise have been since 1996 one of the pivotal |
| forces behind a worldly-known club institution, the Food club and |
| he's no stranger to cd comps neither, as a&r he directed a series |
| of high profile house compilations on SSR (the Freezone |
| sub-series Moving house); he then started Hi-Phen with Koenie |
| (the godfather of the Belgian house scene). More recently he has |
| nurtured a recording project, Mugwump, with Belgium's wicked |
| Spirit Catcher duo (Jean Vanesse & Thomas Sohet) who have |
| releases on labels such as Silver Network, Mood Music, Missive |
| and Freerange. Mugwump remixes are to be found on Crosstown |
| Rebels, Eskimo, Wally's groove world, Dirty Dancing recordings, |
| Tom Bone and there have more coming soon... Included here is |
| their current, massive first single, ôMudcleanerö on Geoffroy's |
| other new label, Suicide (an offshoot of the ⁿber-cool Eskimo |
| label with forthcoming singles lined up from Future Beat |

| ). It is a bit of a huge hit with Kiki, Damian Lazarus, Ivan |
| Smagghe, Dan Ghenacia, Freestyle Man and The Glimmers and was one |
| of the big summer tunes at IbizaÆs DC 10. Also included is the |
| excellent Mugwump re-rub of Jeff Bennett's "Sitting Bull", which |
| starts the mix nicely and has been down a treat with the likes of |
| DÆJulz, Ralph Lawson, Freestyle Man and many others . Mugwump is |
| being managed by Eskimo recordings boss, Dirk Deruyck. |
| So what's the score? This clubby mix includes exciting & sleazy |
| dance music from previous, very successful Hi-Phen 12's by Silent |
| Partners aka SF stars Joshua & Mark E Quark (the 2 Rob Mello No |
| Ears versions both edited together into the mix), Brett Johnson |
| (the two big mixes of "Heartbeats" from Hi-Phen MD 001 & 003, |
| huge with Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Heather & many more), |
| Optimus aka Pete Herbert & Mat Anthony (with their smashing |
| "Deadly Dub", played by everybody from 2 Many DJÆs, Freeform |
| Five, Ivan Smagghe, Headman & Tiefschwarz to Lee Burridge, David |
| Duriez and Rob Mello), all sitting next to amazing music from |
| like-minded, French and friend labels such as Crack & Speed, |
| Dialect & La RosiΦre/Virgo Music , with their forthcoming singles |
| from France's new underground wizzkids Tim Paris and Quizz and |
| soon-to-be released remixes from heavyweights such as Abe Duque |
| (and his mix of French dj Chl÷Θ) or Fauna Flash (in a massive |
| remix for ViennaÆs Megablast). There's extremely rare material by |
| everyone's fave new leftfield disco producer Lindstr÷m (with two |
| tracks: "Crazy B", a psychedelic hip-house remix of Norway's |
| Snuten and "I feel space" a Jarre meets Cerrone meets Moroder |
| disco smash, out soon on his fantastic Feedelity label), there's |
| "Welcome to Planet Funk", an electro funk jam by The Artificial |
| Arm on the Orson label (the new label run by the reknowned |
| electro act Transparent Sound), u can also find the funk force of |
| Washington DC's All Good Funk Alliance (the current new Hi-Phen |
| smash), the electro-soul rmx of WARP-ArcolaÆs artist Louis |
| Digital for Detroit house upcoming producer Mark Flash of |
| KMS/Upstart fame (and pal with Rolando & Gerald Mitchell of UR, |
| remixer of ôJaguarö too) whoÆs releasing his anthem ôSoul Powerö |
| soon on Hi-Phen too; plus the gigantic & ravey Sweet Light remix |
| of Funky Transport's ode to originality, "Different" (Sweet Light |
| is France's answer to Alter Ego, not very far from VitalicÆs |
