4 tracks sampler for the june 24 forthcoming album "p.h. test /
two" from this french act.
le peuple de l'herbe started off in 1997 in a lyon city 3rd floor
basement. at the origins, we find two djs, stani & pee that would
later associate with psychostick, the drummer, and n'zeng, the
trumpet player. if le peuple de l'herbe spread their roots as far
as to jama∩ca islands (rock steady, reggae, dub) and cuba, they
fertilize their influences with hip-hop (abstract, turntablizm...),
and electronic rains (drum'n'bass and breakbeat).
if this sampler goes to show the soon-to-be-delivered 2nd album's
musical color, its the latter d'n'b influences that prevail, with
a guest appearance of veteran junglist uk apache.
