It sounds like Martin Landsky's world has been turned upside down. Usually
the purveyor of classy tech house, the Poker Flat regular's latest outing
features a bass so dark and moody, it could have been borrowed from early
90s hardcore. Fused with an ominous vocal, it gives the impression that the
German producer is focusing on the darker side of the human psyche. There
is a similar mood on the dub take, with Landsky using dramatic chord builds
and dubbed out drums to articulate his feelings. The only exception to this
prevalent mood is on "Norway", with its melancholic synth, snappy
percussion and smart claps offering a reflective alternative. -juno
