Distance is proud to announce the release of the debut album from
Detroit's Alton Miller, a man who has been an integral part of the
Detroit House Music movement for well over ten years.
Dazzled by the electrifying energies of Ron Hardy, Frankie
Knuckles, Larry Levan & Timmi Regisford Alton opened the now
legendary dance club the Music Institute in Detroit with himself &
Chez Damier as residents.
In 1991 Alton recorded his first release "Pleasure baby" for Kevin
Saunderson's Serious Grooves / KMS label, his second release for
Cyren is still considered a classic among DJ's today, the single
was also a debut for his vocal talents which were soon being
utilised on releases by Ron Trent & Chez Damier's Prescription &
Balance imprints .
Since his early recordings Alton has gained Worldwide success and
exposure both as a producer & DJ. For the last few years Alton has
recorded singles & EP's for labels such as Guidance, BPM, Planet E,
Life Line & Distance as well as remixes for the likes of Scott
Grooves.
His debut album "Rhythm Exposed" is a smooth mix of classic Detroit
electronica, Soul & House, music with rhythm & Soul. Featuring the
singles
"Love ballad" & "Sweet in the morning".
Once again Distance deliver a quality artist album to be enjoyed in
either a home or club environment.
From 1989 to the present day Alton has toured France, England,
Germany, Holland, Portugal, Switzerland & Belgium defining House
Music to the world. Miller's intimate connection with drums &
varied African rhythms result in compositions that move people
physically & emotionally , to hear Alton DJ defines what House
Music is all about!
