| MIHAI POPOVICIU first hit the scene earlier this year with his |
| cheeky tune Sexy Suspender on the last Gigolo compilation. |
| Indeed, the Romanian was a real find as this 12" goes to prove; |
| itÆs a massive record with four great new original tunes. |
| Opener Women From Outer Space is a prime slice of hi nrg trance. |
| It flows and pulsates - always upwards to another level. IsnÆt it |
| a man on the moon? Maybe not - the second track keeps the |
| feminine theme with its title Lady moon. The tribal house feel to |
| this production should make it appeal to all mother earthers. The |
| groove orbits a floating spacey synth melody. |
| Cassettes, the first song on the B-Side brings a harder electro |
| beat to the record. A robotic vocoded voice speaks the repetitive |
| statement ... cassettes, magazines, pornography, life-style... |
| giving proceedings a classic Kraftwerk-esque element. This fine |
| track would fit well on any mix-tape! |
| And the EP comes to a fiery end with Sexy Suspenders, the boss |
| track which we first heard at the start of the year on |
| International Deejay Gigolos CD8. The track rotates around a fat |
| bass and a sensual vocal sample. Are you a big spender? Lucky |
| you! |
| Tales From the Moon is a quality 12". Just right for the hot late |
| summer club scene. MIHAI POPOVICIU has the Balkan beats and the |
| vision to produce blinding futurist sounds. This record has |
| everything |
