British Techno legend Ben Sims debuts on DJ Deeps seminal Deeply Rooted imprint
with four muscular cuts this September. Internationally recognised as one of
Technos top luminaries for around two decades now, Sims reputation as a DJ and
producer is indisputable. Appearing on Deeply Rooted recently with a blistering
remix of DJ Deep Stressin, Gamma Ray Subway is not only Bens first original
release on the Parisian imprint but also his first full EP since 2015. Rippin &
Skippin is a weighty roller comprised of sharp synths, heady claps and a
rumbling bassline whilst Gamma Ray Subway exhibits enticing melodies and
raucous snare rolls. Two acid tracks make up the B side, starting with The
Stalker - a high-octane production combining a raw aesthetic with energetic 303
licks, generating tension from start to finish. Robust kicks, exuberant open
hats and evolving percussion then make up Acid OD to conclude the release.
