▓████▓▌ during 2000 when two film students, David Moltz and ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Kody Akhavi, and their roommate, drummer Dan ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Mintzer, began experimenting with electronic music. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ They were joined music students Kelli Scarr and Dan ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Chen, and a strong musical and philosophical ▓▌
▓████▓▌ connection was established between the five. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Musically, the band has never been easily ▓▌
▓████▓▌ categorized. Their multifaceted sound has been ▓▌
▓████▓▌ described as electronic rock or experimental dance ▓▌
▓████▓▌ rock. Moonraker has been compared to Bj÷rk, ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Portishead, Stereolab, early U2 and the Police. ▓▌

▓████▓▌ Over the last two years, Moonraker has performed ▓▌
▓████▓▌ alongside Metric, Elefant, The Stars, Ambulance ▓▌

▓████▓▌ WBOS' Best New Band in Boston [in 2001], they ▓▌

▓████▓▌ radio, and recently they were awarded Best New Band ▓▌
