║ Destroyed all links with the past, The Contortionist are facing not ║
║ only a new genre (Tesseract inspired) but also a new audience. And ║
║ progrock have a selective audience. Techy, delicate & darkly modern, ║
║ but also mellow & enclosed at moments. Since i dont like ║
║ compromises, i surely prefer this new chapter, than its ║
║ predecessors. ║

║ Moves entirely into the new sound introduced on Language. They are ║
║ completely prog metal now, totally removing harsh vocals and djent ║
║ elements. They still have some heavy riffs but the focus is ║
║ completely off the sound of the first two albums. If you liked ║
║ Language, this one will be up your alley but unfortunately, it's not ║
║ as good. The songwriting is just a bit below, with an album that ║
║ almost hits the hour mark with nothing too amazing. It is, however, ║
║ still very good and well written throughout which makes for an album ║
║ well worth hearing. I could still stand for a few minutes to be ║
║ shaved off but even without, I enjoy what they are doing here. ║
