Krafty Kuts hails from Brighton where he is also known for his funky
and infectious sets of breaks. Krafty's skills on the decks come from a strong
background in hiphop. He also used to work in a record store in Brighton where
he built up his store of knowledge on hiphop and funk and would meet many people
in the dance scene. Krafty was DJing around the UK but fame really arrived when
Fatboy Slim heard a dubplate of his track "Gimme the breaks" This was signed to
Fatboy's Southern Fried label and was a huge hit for Krafty in 1997.
Krafty went on to start up a Brighton based, breaks club night called
"Supercharged" with friend Skool of thought. Krafty also released a compilation
called "Slam the breaks on" as well as being asked to remix many big named
artists. In 2001 Krafty Kuts set up two record labels with business partner
Skool Of Thought naming one label SuperCharged and the other Against The Grain.
A string of hits were forthcoming and Krafty was in demand as a world wide DJ.
In 2003 Krafty Kuts and A Skillz put together the album "Tricka Technology" and
Krafty has a new release slated for release this year.
