Interpol, The Silent League's sound is much closer to
the former than the latter.
Goliath opens with high-pitched vocals and delicate
Deserter's Song-style strokes on the piano before
becoming mixed up with some late period Beatles
overtones. There's still time for a James Bond
strings sample last heard on Robbie Williams'
Millennium.
B-side Can't Get It Out Of My Head is equally
elegant, with a Roxy Music melody enlivened by
trumpets gently parping in the background.
