Originally formed ║ ║ in 2011 by Trevor Roberts and Trevor Gill as Death of A Martyr, The ║ ║ band went through many changes in name, lineup, and producers in ║ ║ developing the album and project over the course of the past 6 ║ ║ years. The project that would become The Anima Effect started in ║ ║ 2016. ║ ║ ║ ║ Beginning in late September 2016, Trevor Roberts and Ryan Martinez ║ ║ began production of what would become the band's first full length ║ ║ album Upheaval. In March of 2017 members Brandan Hinkle, and ║ ║ Chandler Tinder joined the band adding Vocals and rhythm guitar to ║ ║ the line up.
