:: Undercut have drawn comparisons with U2, The Police, The Foo
:: Fighters and REM. One of the reasons for this was that their
:: unique sound was, quite literally, born in an aircraft
:: hanger, where the band spent months writing, rehearsing and
:: developing their unique sound. Says Johnny "It turned us into
:: stadium rockers. Seriously, it was huge, and we were whacking
:: out songs just try to try and fill it. That's how we ended up
:: with this immense sound".

:: In 2004 the band headed into the studio to record their first
:: album with Ian Grimble, who has also produced albums for
:: artists such as Travis, Mansun, The Las, Texas and Manic
:: Street Preachers. Not wanting to put their fate into the
:: hands of a major label, the band decided to take matters into
:: their own hands and set up their own fully-fledged label,
:: Distiller Records.

:: Whilst setting up their own label, writing, rehearsing and
:: working to pay the bills, the band, now a live force to be
:: reckoned with, have continued to gig regularly both in their
:: home-town of Bristol, across the South-West and in London,
:: and more recently, touring the UK with CherryFalls, The
:: Wonder Stuff and The Leaves.
