Completing a top trio of EPs in June is this new one from Helmut Kraft
featuring Alessan Main and Niereich on the remix.
Frenchman Helmut Krafts remix for Jody Wisternoffs single 'Starstrings' made
him a global figure after getting picked up by Pete Tong on BBC1. He has also
worked on the likes of Hed Kandi Records and PIAS and now comes good once more
with some top tier techno.
'We Are Machines' is his first excellent offering and is a trippy number with
edgy and unsettling synth stabs. The drums are firmly rooted and the percussion
is metallic, with the cumulative effect being truly intoxicating and powerful.
Alessan Main & Niereich link for a remix after making names for themselves on
labels like Intacto. Their visceral remix is powerful indeed, with bleeping
dial tones, out of control machines and acid lines all exploding over macho
drums.
Kraft then offers 'Moonlight Ride', a high octane and cosmic trip through pitch
bent shifts, scored pads and insistent drums that never let up.
All three of these tracks are guaranteed to make a big impact.
