The first release for Hive sublabel Suspicious Records, Made Into
Itself is smoke and poetry spun into crystalline threads of sound.
Instrumental Hip Hop and heart-heavy tripnotica for a new listener -
no bullshit cliches or worn out formulas guiding this release.
Sticky beats, live violins, abused samplers, and silk-dripping
voices have conspired to bring the sound of nighttime air and city
solitude to life.
Made Into Itself is a dirty, city night masterpiece - recalling the
best moments of Massive Attack's seminal Mezzanine album, Tricky's
darker compositions, and the decks-on- Ritalin compositional genius
of artists like DJ Signify and DJ Shadow, this album is a must have
for fans of the genre. Pushing well outside the confines of Trip Hop
and experimental Hip Hop, Leaf finds new veins coursing with beats
and samples as obscure and disjointed as chinese mandolin and 70's
irish folk and ties them together into a breathing, vibrant, gritty
epic. Highly recommended !!

MORAL DiSCLAiMER: We are very aware of the fact that our releases
contribute to the growing sale losses of record companies.
Unfortunately our style primarily targets small, independant labels
that need sales to survive.
For these reasons we ask you not to distribute this release on public
sites or P2P tools; if more and more receive their music from the net,
artists and labels will have to face even less sells than nowadays.
Please do not consider this release as a substitute to the original, but
only as a way to check out and learn about new music.
We absolutely do not approve of DJs or other individuals that earn
money from pirated music - Don't let them get their hands on it!
By buying the albums you like you disperse the guilt we feel by
releasing this music - Enjoy the music and be fair with the artists!
YOUR support is required to keep them financially alive and producing!
