PROPER:

      The rest of the NFO file, after this PROPER note, is the same as our

      previous release.

      Here is what we have so far:

      11-20-2005  Star.Defender.2.v1.26.ALL.ACCESS.CHEAT.PROPER.READ.NFO-PiZZA

      11-18-2005  Star_Defender_II_v1.26_Unlocker-TNT

      To PIZZA: we suggest that you make a Group Request for your Unlocker to

                be nuked, after you read this.

      PIZZA was under the impression that the TNT unlocker was not done

      correctly, resulting in messed up values for the Lives/GunPower/Missiles

      that are given when jumping to a Mission using the TNT unlocker.

      Unless we confused PIZZA's claims, the real situation is this.

      Completing an entire mission entails defeating all the Waves of enemies

      and the final End-Boss monster. Upon mission completion & after the next

      mission begins, if you exit to the Main Menu, the game will save your

      progress. It records your Lives, Gun Power Level, and the # of the

      Missiles you have left. It saves these stats separately for every

      mission that you completed and each mission gets its own unique stats.

      When you reply a mission that you had already completed aka UNLOCKED, you

      will start off with all of those saved stats listed above.

      That is the natural way this game's "save/unlock/replay" system works.

      What PIZZA did was create a saved game that starts you off at each of the

      9 game missions with the following stats:

      3 Lives, Gun Power Level 1 (the weakest one), 10 Heavy Missiles, and 0

      Heat-Seeker Missiles.

      TNT assume that PIZZA did that because it seemed like you are supposed

      to start off with those exact stats above, when you replay a previously

      completed mission. Meaning that its not fair to start off with lots of

      Missiles and power, since that would make the game too easy.

      However, if you played through the game on your own, you would probably

      have much better saved stats for each mission than what PIZZA is giving

      you. Try playing Mission #9 when you start off with Gun Power Level 1.

      Good luck killing anything.

      There are 2 methods to creating unlocked save games also known as

      "all access cheats".

      1. Play through the whole game on your own to get a saved game created,

         which will have all of the content unlocked.

      2. Create a Hacked saved game file, whereby you alter the initial data to

         forcibly unlock the content.

      If you are very skilled with hacking, you can something even get a 100%

      byte-for-byte duplicate of what the "Naturally Played Savefile" would

      be. Other people just patch random data and hope it works. Either

      method seems to be accepted in the scene. All the end-user wants is to

      get at the locked content, even if the saved file not 'perfectly' done.

      For this game, every person that plays through the game naturally will

      get a different saved game file. It will contain all of their stats

      stored at the start of each game mission.

      TNT created a hacked save file. We had to choose some values for those

      stats. We chose the values listed below. PIZZA chose to make every

      mission start out with the stats from Mission #1. Which is bad for all

      of the higher Missions #2-9, because you start with the lowest stats

      possible.

      In conclusion, we say our unlocker was properly done and that there was

      nothing wrong with it. Without an Unlocker, play a few missions for

      yourself, quit the game, then go and re-play your unlocked missions. See

      how you start each mission with the specific stats you had upon

      completing the previous mission? Compare that to the PIZZA unlocker and

      you will see that our release was done correctly.

      Yet, we are glad to see PIZZA still looking out for quality in the

      scene. It is a rare thing to see. Spending the time and effort to find

      a problem with another group's release(s) and then making a working one

      is ultimately best for the end-users, regardless of one group's hurt

      feelings. However, in this case, PIZZA's release was not better nor

      proper, but was in fact worse.

      PIZZA unlocker:

      userdata.dat = bad savefile where all missions start with Mission #1's

                     default stats (not a PROPER)

      pizza.dat = DUPE of the TNT unlocker with similar altered starting

                     stats, even though the PIZZA numbers are much higher,

                     ie: 9999 Missiles (we limited our numbers to keep from

                     making the game too easy)

      Final Note to PIZZA:

        So our 6-month updates on games dox is not a "scene standard" ?

        Well neither is your policy of "the first unlocker wins and no one else

        can ever make an unlocker for any future version of the game (unless

        the previous unlocker no longer works on a new version)". Since when

        is that a rule? There never were any agreed upon 'rules' for such dox

        things other than the scene's widely embraced 14-day minor update dupe

        rule. Should we all search for the v1.0 Unlocker from 1999 when v5.92

        is out in 2005? Good luck to you...

        Ultimately, our new 6-month rule for dox is best for the end-users and

        for the scene members who have difficulty finding a 2-year old dox to

        use on a brand new 1-week old version of the game. We even considered

        doing 14-day dox updates to match the "MU rule", but that seems a

        little excessive for "dox that few people care about".

        How many 0day groups have ever been making dox at one time?

        2? 3? maybe 4 maximum? When have they ever set any 'rules' ?

-END PROPER

NOTE: A new game version is released, after more than 6 months since the

      previous unlocker. Thus, we make a new unlocker.

A SavedGame giving you access to all of the areas of the game.

Unlocks:

         All 9 Missions

         Grants you 42 Lives, Power Level 12 on the Primary Weapon, 420 Heavy

           Missiles, & 420 Heat-Seeker Missiles for the last 8 Missions

                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. UnZIP all archives to a temporary directory.
2. Always make a backup copy of your game file(s) first:
   UserData.dat
3. UnRAR the archive to your game directory, overwriting any existing files.
   Always unRAR with full paths!
4. Play.
   Mission #1 will start with the default # of Lives, Missiles, & Gun Power.
   You will start on Level #1 of each Mission.
   However, for Missions #2 through #9, we gave you lots of lives and the
   maximum power of 12 for the Main Gun.  Use the keys '1' and '2' on your
   keyboard to switch between Missile types.
   Taking a hit will cost you 1 Power Level of the Main Gun.
                               ■  TNT    News  ■
                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  0day Unlockers, CheatCodes, & Trainers:

  Seeing as how many users do NOT have 0day/ access older than 6 months, we are

  going to start releasing Unlockers/CheatCodes/Trainers (which we will refer

  to by using the term '0day-dox') for updated versions of 0day game releases.

  The oddity about this is that even if older 0day-dox still work perfectly on

  the new game versions, we will still put out a new set of 0day-dox

  specifically tagged for the new game version. The new 0day-dox will also be

  tested to make sure they work properly for a new game version, even if they

  are 100% the same files as a previous version's dox.

  Some people will consider these releases to be "dupes". However, similar

  releasing styles are permitted for other 0day programs in the scene.

  Consider the 'including_keygen' or 'keygen.only' releases. Usually, groups

  will wait for 2 weeks to comply with the accepted "MU Rule" and then dump a

  new version of an app even though the PREVIOUS keygens works perfectly on the

  new version.

  Should this also be considered a dupe? Hell, some groups even include the

  same exact keygen EXE as in their previous release because the protection has

  not changed between versions.

  Do you ever see GROUP1 putting out new CRACKED versions of a specific app

  every 14 days like clockwork? And then, find that GROUP2 dumps a KEYGEN.ONLY

  for that same version every 14 days, again like clockwork? Maybe you check

  the keygen executables and find the files are byte for byte the same as the

  previous KEYGEN.ONLY releases they did (or maybe just version number updates

  for the window Title Messages).

  You see the pattern I'm sure. This is acceptable behaviour in the scene???

  Yes it is. And so new 0day-dox for NEW VERSIONS of games should also be

  acceptable.

  When a user grabs a game and then wants a 0day-dox for it, but the only ones

  available are from like 2 years ago, or even *5 years ago* for an older

  version, they may be screwed unless they have access to a big (and COMPLETE)

  0day archive. Or they may be cautious since they do not even know if the

  older 0day-dox will still work on the new version they just downloaded.

  Thus, your friends at TNT will release new 0day-dox for updated games from

  this date forward on a "6 month Minor Update rule" so as not to flood the

  hell out of the scene. This means that we will wait until 6 months (calendar

  time) from the PRE date of the previous 0day-dox. By 'calendar time', an

  example is that 6 months after January 02 2005 will be July 02 2005. Six

  months, not 180 days, to avoid archaic calculations. After that time, we

  will wait AGAIN for a new version of the game (we will NOT use new game

  versions that came out during the 6 month waiting period). When a brand new

  game version is PRE-released after the 6 months of waiting, we will release

  new 0day-dox for it as needed.

  If you do not approve of our updated 0day-dox, then nuke as you see fit. We

  always list in our NFO files if something changed with the game that

  unconditionally required a new 0day-dox, such as new levels being added or

  changes made to the savegame data format. This way, trigger-happy nukers can

  have an easier time if they disapprove of our "dupes". For a while however,

  we will also be reporting if an older 0day-dox is 100% the same as the new

  one. Eventually though, we will switch to just dumping new 0day-dox without

  even taking a look at previous ones.

  TNT will not release new 0day-dox for those small-sized patches/updates of

  ISO Game Rips, which require the complete original Game Rips. This message

  really only applies to Shareware style 0day games, which are released under

  new versions as fully self-contained games.

  To other groups of the albeit tiny 0day-dox scene:

  If you think this is a good idea, please let us know. You can surely find

  us, even though we hide in the shadows. muhahaha!

  The 0day scene is the only place where we will be releasing the 6-month MU

  updates. The iso-dox scene will not see updated dox by us, unless a patch

  has altered savegame file formats or added new unlockable content.

  We are the REAL original TNT. Any other groups who have tried to front as

  Too many "new" sites, using cookie-cutter scripts and that god-awful

  zipscript-c (aka project-zs), ruin all the nice SFV files in the scene!

  TNT works in all languages.

  We seek like-minded individuals who are able to provide or create software in

  any language for release into the scene.

  Like most 'respectable' groups, TNT is non-profit.

  We release for the challenge of reverse engineering, the excitement of the

  race to win against other groups, and the spirit of fair competition.

  Positions are open for the following.

   Crackers : Experienced programmers and debuggers with assembly language

              knowledge who can produce Cracks, such as NoCDs & the removal of

              commercial protections, for games and applications.

     Coders : Experienced programmers who can produce KeyMakers, Game Trainers,

              or SavedGame file editors. (Assembly or C language is required)

 Game Ripper: Create ripped versions of full games. Rips retain game

              functionality while having non-essential data (such as movies or

              music) stripped out. People, especially those on slower dial-up

              connections, can try out a game rip before deciding to buy the

              full version.

   Scanning : Printed Box Art, CDs, & Manuals for new games and applications.

 FileHacker : Create All Access Enabled (Unlocked) SavedGames.

              Modify game data files to enable Cheated Stats.

              Scan game executables to locate Cheat Codes (no web thieves).

  Suppliers : Provide retail versions of new unreleased software, either games

              or applications.

    Siteops : 10mbit or faster sites on linux/unix with at least 100gigs space.

              Preference is for sites with sections of 0day, iso, dox, pda,

              or console exclusively.

              Before contacting us, please consider that Movie/Video or MP3

              sections are not desirable to us. Big movie/mp3 sites that have

              iso, 0day, or dox as an afterthought are not for TNT. Sorry.
