Roonan is a one man Techno Live act created by Ronald Vonk (www.roonan.com). At
a young age Ronald developed a huge interest in Electronic music. He had build
himself a decent studio and learned every trick by himself. Where his creations
were at first very linear, later the tracks were given a more natural feeling
over the sequenced tracks. Especially the last years Roonan has developing
himself more and more into a creative talent. His first performance was in 1999
at the semi finale of the Grand price of the Netherlands in the LVC in Leiden.
After that he was selected two times in a row for the Grand price of the South
of Holland (regional contest) in 2001, 2002 and 2003 (first in Nightown and the
others at Waterfront Rotterdam) In 2003 he won the second price. This lead to a
gig at the 013 in Tilburg and at a Halloween party. In 2002 and 2003 Roonan
performed at the Sweetvalley Open Air festivals in Zoetermeer, while a year
later he had been selected for the Diesel-U-Music final at the Winston in
Amsterdam.
