::: Daniela Andrade's music career flourished on YouTube, and :::
::: that's where she continues to share her work with her 1.3 :::
::: million subscribers. Although most well known for her :::
::: covers, which are delicately stripped down to quiet, raw :::
::: acoustics with lots of reverb, she came out in late 2016 :::
::: with a breakout EP of four original songs. Paired with :::
::: gorgeous music videos which tell a story about an evolution :::
::: of a modern relationship, any fan of indie female vocalists :::
::: should look into this. :::

::: However, Andrade's Shore isn't a breath of fresh air. :::
::: Rather, it feels like the morning exhalation of someone :::
::: dear. It feels comfortable, familiar even. The ambience of :::
::: the track is "traditional" Andrade territory; it leaves a :::
::: lot of space for inhales and exhales and serves as a gentle :::
::: reminder that there is some good in the world, somewhere out :::
::: there. :::

::: This dreamy, electro-pop EP plays out like a post-modern :::
::: lullaby, with minimalist instrumentation and layers of :::
::: reverb acting as slurred diction. Andrade's silky smooth :::
::: vocals are closer to melodic whispering than singing. Even :::
::: at dynamic peaks, the coatings of harmonies never show any :::
::: sign of strain. :::
::: :::
::: While the EP is wonderfully soft and mellow, it certainly :::
::: lacks creativity. :::
::: Perhaps this is the point where Shore fails. Impact never :::
::: hits. The dream lies undisturbed, as crescendos lead to more :::
::: crescendos, or fade into nothingness. While such :::
::: expectations might seem redundant, Andrade rides this EP :::
::: like an endless wave; the crash can be seen from a mile :::
::: away, but it never arrives. Part of the marvel, however, :::
::: comes simply in the fact that this wave is gorgeous. It is :::
::: warm, slow, restrained and captivating. Shore doesnÆt try to :::
::: differentiate because it understands its place. If comfort :::
::: is the only purpose this lullaby should serve, its purpose :::
::: has been fulfilled. :::
