▓████▓▌ There are three nasty tracks and five nicer ones. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Three are instrumentals, the others mostly have ▓▌
▓████▓▌ what could only be described as a narrative ▓▌
▓████▓▌ element. Many of the tracks work on the æred bull ▓▌
▓████▓▌ and vodka principleÆ, i.e. mix a depressant with a ▓▌
▓████▓▌ stimulant and see what happens. So there are some ▓▌
▓████▓▌ very drowsy drones overlaid with rustic æsongsÆ ▓▌
▓████▓▌ often of a quicker pace than I usually come out ▓▌
▓████▓▌ with. ItÆs still folk, and still ambient in ▓▌
▓████▓▌ nature, but also in many ways rather commercial. I ▓▌
▓████▓▌ guess this LP is pre-empting what I want live band ▓▌
▓████▓▌ performances by ôThe Rough Ensembleö to be like ▓▌
▓████▓▌ later this year, kick-starting it, if you like. In ▓▌
▓████▓▌ terms of themes, thereÆs the usual emphasis on ▓▌
▓████▓▌ British landscapes and localities, plus the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ struggle of individuals versus external forces and ▓▌
▓████▓▌ mobs. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Future plansà ▓▌
▓████▓▌ In addition to organizing a live ensemble for ▓▌
▓████▓▌ performances in the UK and Ireland, and the usual ▓▌

▓████▓▌ quite possibly a double-CD, the distribution of a ▓▌

▓████▓▌ each of The First Ten Suilven releases, an ▓▌
▓████▓▌ instrumental commission for a prestigious London ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Art Show, and a collaborative album with American ▓▌
▓████▓▌ composers DAC Crowell and Kurt Doles to be recorded ▓▌
