Rene returns to the fold with Treibstoff, and our money is
on this one really taking hold. As a tribute to a cartoon
mouse it works just fine, but unleash it in a club and we
won't be held responsible for the mayhem that ensues.
Popping percussion leads easily into a kicking bass
section, topped with growling warehouse filling snarls û
absolutley snarling, unremitting stuff. "Mexico" for the
flip takes it slightly slower and lower, but there's again
an irresistible funk flow to the percussion, and while the
morphing bassline goes solidly about its business, some
devious top-end manouevres shuffle into the mix, the
hi-hats undergo psychoactive treatment, the result another
certified winner from the Treibstoff massive.
