│ Classic EP from the long-running influential │
│ German trance label, NOOM Records. It was │
│ founded in 1993 by Joachim Keil as part of │
│ the Undercover Music Group (aka UCMG), │
│ alongside other notable German labels such as │
│ Phuture Wax, Plastic City, Global Ambition, │
│ and Time Unlimited. Many of the releases │
│ were either composed, remixed, or produced by │
│ the in-house engineer Commander Tom. The │
│ label went on to issue over 70 singles and │
│ nearly 20 albums in its lifespan, before the │
│ bankruptcy of UCMG forced it to shut down. │
│ Will it ever be resurrected someday? Only │
│ time will tell... │
│ │
│ This particular release is the CD-single of │
│ the 15th release on the label, Nuclear Hyde's │
│ second outing, the "Speedlake EP". If you're │
│ familiar with the early sound of NOOM you │
│ will know exactly what to expect here; lots │
│ of 303s, a constant 145-155 BPM range, and │
│ unstoppable energy. My favorite of the four │
│ here is track #3, "Pesola", a huge tweaked │
│ out acid churner. │
│ │
│ As is common with many of the CD-single │
│ versions of the NOOM releases, this disc │
│ contains a bonus track that does not appear │
│ on the vinyl release. On this one, track #4, │
│ "Innostatic", is exclusive to this release, │
│ and has never appeared elsewhere! │
│ │
