Richard Gow aka Rhythm Slaves clearly has the same influences as
Simon Grey, this one sounds like it could have come off a George Duke
album circa 1980, with a lovely summery Latin feel. Some nice keys,
percussion and bassline giving it enough of that old-school feeling
to pass muster as a genuine slice of jazz-funk without noticing the
programmed beats too much. The Sweet Abraham Vocal Dub takes it
clearly into the realms of house and is the one for most of the
deeper dancefloors.
