██▓▓ the piano at 5 and by age 10 was recruited ██▓▓
██▓▓ to play for God at the A.M.E. Church ██▓▓
██▓▓ (African Methodist Episcopalian), leading my ██▓▓
██▓▓ own choir of lesser talented 5-12 year olds ██▓▓

██▓▓ Always a model student I was asked to join ██▓▓
██▓▓ the student board of directors, through whom ██▓▓
██▓▓ I got my first booking - when asked to hire ██▓▓
██▓▓ a band for a school event, I suggested a DJ, ██▓▓
██▓▓ even better I suggested ME! - the event was ██▓▓
██▓▓ a resounding success and soon after I was ██▓▓
██▓▓ snatched up to play at the ÆClub Can't Tellæ ██▓▓
██▓▓ a old movie theater / live venue in ██▓▓
██▓▓ Sacramento where I DJ'ed between the shows, ██▓▓
██▓▓ and mixed sound for bands without a sound ██▓▓
██▓▓ engineer, Chris Isaak with Silvertone, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Berlin, psychedelic Furs, Eek-a Mouse (?), ██▓▓
██▓▓ REM., General Public...etc. looking older ██▓▓
██▓▓ than my pubescent years (15) no one ██▓▓
██▓▓ questioned my age ( California at the time ██▓▓
██▓▓ had a workers age limitation of 18 years. ) ██▓▓

██▓▓ I was introduced to dance music at 15 while ██▓▓
██▓▓ working for cassio, and my belief was ██▓▓
██▓▓ compounded when I read the Jehovah's Witness ██▓▓
██▓▓ magazine ÆWatchtoweræ where Ædiscoæ was ██▓▓
██▓▓ described as ödevil music, fueled by drugs ██▓▓
██▓▓ and false euphoriaô - I had found my ██▓▓
██▓▓ vocation and from this point on all the ██▓▓
██▓▓ angels in heaven couldn't hold me back. ██▓▓
██▓▓ ██▓▓
██▓▓ By 21 I had played in every important club ██▓▓
██▓▓ in northern California - Vortex, The ██▓▓
██▓▓ Underground, Dancepark, The K-Street, plus ██▓▓
██▓▓ various Æposhæ private events (Æposhæ in ██▓▓
██▓▓ Sacramento???), The 181 Club, Buzzby's, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Glashaus, Noh Klub, Dasklub, DNA Lounge, ██▓▓
██▓▓ DV8, The Crystal Pistol, Esta Noche...and ██▓▓
██▓▓ impromptu cameo's with the Beat Nigs ██▓▓
██▓▓ (although I was never officially a member) ██▓▓
██▓▓ and various other bay area artists. ██▓▓
██▓▓ ██▓▓
██▓▓ Paris was calling : The first day of my ██▓▓
██▓▓ arrival in Paris, I landed a job at ÆNeo ██▓▓
██▓▓ Japonesqueæ a small basement club beneath my ██▓▓
██▓▓ apartment, this would become my resident ██▓▓
██▓▓ club for the next 3 years and under my ██▓▓
██▓▓ musical direction, the little club (150 ██▓▓
██▓▓ capacity, often Ærubber-walledæ) attracted ██▓▓
██▓▓ all sorts of marginal's - celebrities, ██▓▓
██▓▓ bankers, students, musicians, other club ██▓▓
██▓▓ owners... a plethora of people ready to go ██▓▓
██▓▓ until, often, 10:00 am during week-ends, ██▓▓
██▓▓ guests would fall out onto the busiest ██▓▓
██▓▓ market street in paris, Le Rue Montorgueil, ██▓▓
██▓▓ as shop merchants set up their wares, the ██▓▓
██▓▓ smell of cheese, thick, in the air..! ██▓▓
██▓▓ ██▓▓
██▓▓ I was producing a few things here and there, ██▓▓
██▓▓ namely for æYianna Katsoulosæ (a variete ██▓▓
██▓▓ singer of much acclaim). an 'off-hand' remix ██▓▓
██▓▓ of Bouge de La, for æMC Solaræ (never ██▓▓
██▓▓ released?) and a strange frontman job for a ██▓▓
██▓▓ song entitled æDon't Kill The Elephantsæ?! ██▓▓
██▓▓ the DJ'ing held up through all this time so ██▓▓
██▓▓ I worked; the Kit Kat, co-founded Zoopsie, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Au Rex, La Scala, Le Palace, Le Saint, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Balajo, L'usine Ephemer, La Grande Halle du ██▓▓
██▓▓ la Villette, La Luna, Plus, various truly ██▓▓
██▓▓ posh events! ██▓▓

██▓▓ By the beginning of the 90's the good ██▓▓
██▓▓ parties where fading as was the number of ██▓▓
██▓▓ DJ's flying back and forth between new york ██▓▓
██▓▓ and paris, a phenomenon existing at least ██▓▓
██▓▓ since the jazz year's, hence the supply of ██▓▓
██▓▓ innovative dance music was waning. In search ██▓▓
██▓▓ of better records I was invited to cologne ██▓▓
██▓▓ where I met æHans Niesswandtæ whom I worked ██▓▓
██▓▓ with on four LP.'s, various remixes, and did ██▓▓
██▓▓ a series of parties known as the legendary ██▓▓
██▓▓ ÆWhirlpool Productionsæ. ██▓▓
