Back in the 90s when cratedigging was still an
underground artform rather than a MTV series, Phil
'The Soulman' Stroman was one of the legends, with his
influential Archeologist mix tapes and very useful
World Of Beats site lifting the lid on the sampling
tactics of many big name producers and opening up
obscure breaks to the world. He was always a
frustrated producer at heart and here he releases some
stunning beats that show he's been taking note from
new school cats such as Kanye West and of course been
digging up some tasty breaks, I'm not sure who the MCs
are but they take care of business nicely...
