Probably the best album to appear on the leading
Contemporary Christian Music label, Myrrh, which had been
established by Billy Ray Hearn as a division of Word
Records in 1972, was the debut recording by the British
Water Into Wine Band, whose Hill Climbing For Beginners
appeared on both sides of the Atlantic in the mid'70s.
The UK version presented here has gone on to achieve the
status of a progressive folk masterpiece. The album is
beautifully recorded and the exotic array of instruments,
including bongos, timpani, gongs and violins, combine
wonderfully to produce a recording of musical and
technical brilliance. An extremely good album.
