"The Catalyst is a progressive rock/alternative band from southwestern
Connecticut. The Catalyst plays melodic, intense rock and is influenced by
Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Sigur Ros, Pavement, and Slint, just to name a few. The
band was formed in the Spring of 2004 and has played a variety of venues such as
the Don Hill's in New York City, the Rich Forum in Stamford, and the Empress
Ballroom in Danbury. The band released a 4 song EP in the summer of 2004 and
their new album, Cacophony, will be available September 10th, 2005."
