+-------------------------------[Release Notes]------------------------------+

There's a lot to be said about the four gentlemen in question, but then
again,
not much at all. Though, since you're inquiring, we'll do our best to
humor any
expectations you might have.

In early 2003, Michael Cohen and Seth Duffala began writing for a
project which
would eventually become Hurrah. Previously, Michael had been working on
a solo
project entitled the Amazing You, while Seth had played in such bands as
Bloody
Fucking Chum Bucket, and the Peglegs. Primarily, theirs was a simple
endeavour--two acoustic guitars. An aim for simplicity would round out
the
folky coffee shop tunes created by our two heroes.

As you would have it, Seth's day job consisted of selling records to the
general
public at one of the finest record stores the south has to offer. It was
there
that he met James Valent. James had worked previously in Die Hard, and
would go
on to work with Seth in Cakewalk and Go Go Go & the Red Lights.
Eventually, talk
ensued of having James come in and occaisionally playing drums for
Hurrah. As
time passed, it was apparent that the sound of the project was changing
and the
three made a conscious effort to transform Hurrah into a multi-layered
and more
beat driven project.

Now having James established as a full-time member, the three felt that
Hurrah
could never regress back into the two person acoustic form again. They
began
playing shows at various venues in Orlando and Winter Park in late 2003
when
they were asked to play on Rollins College's basement radio, WPRK FM. It
was at
that session that they met Asa Palmer, the DJ heading up the night's
broadcast.
Showing an interest in the project and having previously played bass for
School
for Heroes, Asa came in to play bass during the next practice.

After two hours of playing, the three decided Asa was a detrimental
asset to the
project. He played his first show with them one week later.

Now a four piece, and far from the sound they first set out to employ,
Hurrah is
currently rehashing songs and preparing to record while playing shows
around
Florida.

Formed in late 2003, Skycraft are ready to bring their own brand of rock
to the masses. Shifting time signatures, intricate guitar work and
sing/scream vocals by Tyler Petito and Tim Reid, and the airtight rhythm
section of drummer Jonny Fuller and bassist Dan Thompson are all
combined to create melodic yet forceful indie rock.

Though originally intending to play music along the lines of mid-90s
bands like Texas Is The Reason and Sunny Day Real Estate, Skycraft have
moved away from this considerably since their inception, abandoning
previous aspirations to any specific "sound" and choosing instead to
allow the style of the band to develop on its own. Combined with the
rejection of traditional "verse-chorus-verse" song structure, this has
lead to songs that demand the listener's attention. A song may go from a
Strokes-ish dance number to a heavy change reminiscent of At The
Drive-In to something jazzy like Karate, all while you went to get
another beer.

Skycraft are currently playing shows all over Florida, and have played
with national acts including Rainer Maria and Planes Mistaken For Stars.
This summer they celebrated their first release--a split ep on Amateur
Records, recorded by Rob McGregor at Goldentone Studios in Gainesville,
Florida.

Retail As Always!! Enjoy!
