Founded by Alberto Morelli and Franco Parravicini, Dissoi
Logoi is a group with an open formation. Its name, which
in ancient Greek means clashing talks, reveals its
multiple stylistic influences. The ethnic tradition of
the mediterranean basin, influenced both by African and
Eastern music, represents the historical basis of this
project. But the activity of Dissoi Logoi is not
philological character, we are dealing with
"contamination". The Jazz of the '60s and '70s,
psychedelic music, electronic music and minimalism
represent the urban foundations of the music of Dissoi
Logoi on which the ethnic styles are arranged. In Dissoi
Logoi's recording projects is confirmed this
contamination through the partecipation of musicians from
different countries. The result is a Nomadmusic which,
with its stylistic "contaminations", tries to deal with
the contrasts and the syntesis between the North and the
South of the world.
