- NOTES
Gerardo, whose real name Gerardo Mejφa, is a rapper and
singer, born in Ecuador. He was known for his bandana and
skintight jeans. He appeared in the movie "Colors" by
Dennis Hopper.
In 1991 he had a hit with the Spanglish single "Rico
Suave". "Weird Al" Yankovic parodied this with his song
"Taco Grande" off his Off The Deep End album. Most of his
lyrics were in English, with some Spanish words.
He sometimes compares himself to the "Latin Elvis" or the
"Latin Frank Sinatra".
