Casting dreamscapes from fragmented nightmares to visions of true
love, the music of Per Somnia seeks to immerse the listener in its
lush moods and emotions.
Per Somnia (In a Dream) is the musical collaboration of vocalist
Julie Davidson and songwriter/keyboardist Ross Ingle. It melds
elements from different types of "dark" music. The influences of
gothic, industrial, synthpop, ethereal, trip-hop, new wave, and
eastern world beat music may be found in generous quantities within
these songs, meshing together to take the listener on a journey
through these vignettes of the subconscious.
The project began in early 1999, and, in August of that year, Per
Somnia made their first live performance opening for the band Faith
and Disease. The first CD release from Per Somnia, Tea and
Thalidomide, was released around that time. The second CD, Falling
Strange, was completed in late 2000. The full length CD Suicide
Skies compiles the best material from the first two EPs, along with
new material and music videos.
Fourteen tracks are listed, but only thirteen are audio since the
first track contains 2 different videos, one being a Quicktime and
the other an MPEG...you like the album and wanna see them, buy it!
