Here @ Tronik, we love to expose the masses to the unsung gems of the
past. Here is another example of that....The Sandals entered the acid
jazz/trip hop scene in the early 90's with a refreshing indie sound that
incorporated samples, funkdafied beats, chilled bass guitar riffs, and
politically-inspired vocals, among other things.
This single features remixes from an all-star lineup of artists who have
received world-wide recognition for their many contributions to dance
music over the last 10 years. The Dust Brothers (now known as the
Chemical Brothers) offer one of their chemical-induced breakbeat remixes
from this early era, Slam provides a typical minimal tech-housey acidic
remix, & the Hardkiss Bros. bring in their signature California-drenched
laidback housey breakbeat vibe w/ a memorable breakdown featuring frog
samples, reverse beat manipulation, scratching and a funky guitar solo.
Enjoy another fine Tronik release.
