Picking up where the Paul Simpson remix of Marvin Gaye left off, Shaun
covers Marvins 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' Al Greens "A Change Is
Gonna Come', Timmy Thomas' 'Why Cant We Live Together' and Nina Simones
'Feeling Good' with great respect and with help from the multi talented
Geoffrey Williams.
Shaun Escoffery gives us a taster from his forthcoming album "Move Into
Soul". As you may have realised from the tracklisting "Move Into Soul" is
an album of interpretations of classic soul tracks. Production is delivered
by Geoffrey Williams, who himself is an established vocalist, producer and
songwriter, teaming up with Shaun again and responsible for writing the now
classic "Days Like This". Opening with his version of the Marvin Gaye
classic "Heard It Through The Grapevine", Next up is Shaun's rendition of
Al Green's "Change Is Gonna Come", a heartfelt piece of soulful blues, he
also covers Timmy Thomas's "Why Can't We Live Together" and Nina Simone's
"Feeling Good".
