- NOTES
Down through the Ages, Persia has come to be known as an
Empire rich in culture: art, poetry, life and death,
passionate in love and family. In the year of 2003 AD a
new face emerged, his history is routed in all things
Persian, his followers devoted and growing in numbers, his
name is Syndicate Villain (Syndicate). He has hit the hip
hop scene with an intensity that will no doubt be marked
one day in Persian history. A new dynasty has emerged.
SyndicateÆs dynasty began in Iran where he was born. At
the early age of four years old his family moved to
Canada. It was there where Syndicate realized his passion
for music. From drug abuse to violence his fervor
surmounted the obstacles that lay before him. He remained
focused on his music, determined that one day his voice
would be brought to the world stage. His unstoppable
beats, his intense lyrics, and his creative force can all
be seen in his highly anticipated debut album, "Army of
One". At the young age of 23, Syndicate Villain is hitting
the music world with the force of an Empire behind him.
Never before has a Canadian Hip Hop artist unleashed such
a loaded debut album. The list of reputable names that
have recognized Syndicates talent and put theirs behind it
are numerous. Look for appearances from former Death Row
Records inmate and now Universal Records artist Crooked I
on the chilling "Greedy Eyes", DJ Quik's protege Amir on
the catchy 1st single "When We Ride", Nuttso from Tupac's
group The Outlawz, and Canada's own Bishop, to production
by DJ Kemo (The Rascalz) as well as Syndicate's personal
world class production work with renowned Feel Me Records
producer Jeff Grout.
The comical escapes displayed on the album will be
inevitably paralleled with those of Eminem, but this 23
year old shakes it off stating that Eminem is one of his
major influences. The scope of Syndicate's flavor ranges
from catchy Westcoast songs, to songs with deep political
undertones, to shockingly fanatical content. His
versatility is unmatched, and his ingenious mind pushes
the limits.
Being the first Persian rapper in history to release an
album distributed by a Major Label (Warner Music Canada),
Syndicate is ready to carry the weight on his shoulders
and mark his contribution to Canadian Hip Hop. If
single-handedly pulling enormous crowds out of the
woodwork for his live shows and pushing a few thousand of
his own mixtapes in the Vancouver area is any indication
of this young rappers aptitude, then Canada and the world
better buckle up because Syndicate is hungry for more.
