Spending more than 20 years in the music business and looking back at
an eventful career HamburgÆs legendary guitarist FOLKE JENSEN now
releases his first solo single äBarabajagalô.
A few people will well remember Ledernacken, FOLKE JENSENÆs project
which was quoted massively during the Eighties and even entered the
US dance charts.
In the last few years FOLKE JENSEN produced the quartet of German
songwriter Tilman Rossmy and played in his band. The first recording
in his own name features his unmistakable trick guitar. Produced by
author and musician Detlef Diederichsen from Hamburg (formerly of
German cult band Die ZimmermΣnner, then producing FSK, Saal 2 and Ja
K÷nig Ja) the session was completed by pianist Stefan Will (Grace
Kairos, Maxim Rad) and vocalist Ebba Durstewitz (Ja K÷nig Ja).
Trainspotters note: äBarabajagalô was originally recorded in 1968 by
Donovan, accompanied by Jeff Beck.
