"La Terra Trema" means "The Trembling Earth". The earth is trembling right now
for two major reasons and these reasons both contrast and react to each other.
The first reason the earth is trembling is because of the wars, the murder, the
hatred, oppression, brutality, rape, lack of communication, neglected children
and so forth. It is trembling because power creates an unimaginable contempt for
human life. The second reason the earth is trembling is a direct reaction to
this contempt. The people are making it tremble with whispers of revolution.
With love for human life. I see it most importantly in the youth. In their walk,
their talk, their graffiti, and definitely in the anger in their faces. And
those beautiful faces represent the beauty of life. The earth is shaking in
every hood, ghetto and slum around the world. The people in these places have
had enough. This trembling is the antithesis to the treacherous conditions
mentioned above, which cause the earth to tremble in the first place......pz1
