Inspired by various favorite 80s synthpop bands (Depeche Mode,
Yazoo, Erasure, Eurythmics and Thompson Twins), davidmahr's songs
are filled with telling lyrics and beautiful melodies underlined by
bouncy synth-based hooks, danceable bass lines, and layers of
electronic music textures. Davidmahr is also the lead singer for the
band Agency-X.
The title track, a rare bonus cover of a Vince Clarke-penned Yazoo
tune, kicks off the disc with a focused dance-pop sound that is
completely different from the original...more upbeat, danceable, and
with even more vocal hooks.
"Sugar Candi (What You Mean to Me)" is the first of two original
tracks included on the single and picks up where "Only You" leaves
off...continuing the undeniable hooks, driving beats and fun synth
play to make this a track you won't soon forget.
Rounding out the disc's synthpop selection is the darker, more
intimate "Century"
