Long Way Down is a five-piece melodic emo punk band hailing from the
Netherlands. Formed in Groningen in 2006, the band quickly stormed the stage
in the Netherlands and abroad. Their DIY tours has brought the band to
Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and beyond. Over the
years, the band shared the stage with the likes of Rise Against, A Wilhelm
Scream, The Flatliners, Strung Out, MxPx and the Ataris. Drawing influences
from bands such as Bayside, the Wonder Years and Taking Back Sunday, the band
formed their own raw and emotional but melodic sound in the process. With
their last record æEmpty Hearts & Get-Well CardsÆ released in 2011, the band
joined the ranks of the White Russian Records family. Now, the band is
finally back with a brand new record titled æSwinging for the FencesÆ,
containing seven honest and gritty songs calling for hope and change
