After months of wait SPATTER REC. finally
releases the long awaited "SONGS FROM THE
DARKROOM" compilation; an American/Italian
collection of power electronic/noise devoted
to unsafe sexual practices between leather
clad men.
In a age dominated by metrosexuals, fairies
and fashion sub-males, safe sex, love parades
and ôqueer as folkö trends, this compilation
has to be perceived as a nostalgic tribute to
70's/80's leather men scene as portrayed in
notorious Friedkin's masterpiece "Cruising"
or more underground/realistic cult flicks
filmed by Christopher Rage and Roger Earl.
Real manifestos of a
culture/lifestyle/obsession which has been
raging in darkrooms, public toilets, public
parks and clubs since the late 50Æs and is
still going strong.
The mastering, done by Thomas "Control"
Garrison, is impressive, very clean and
dynamic in his style yet respecting all
differences.
Artwork has been composed by S. "Azokium"
Widmann on ideas of Walter "Spatter" Mistri,
based on archive material in possession of
Killnoir.
