The band loOp, which consists of a drummer / pianist, a bassist and
a DJ, has been on tour throughout France and Europe for the last 4
years.LoOp presents a new approach to electronic music through the
mischievous use of samples.The presence of musicians on stage
interacting with the machines gives a human and dynamic aspect to
the performance. The musical creativity is complemented by images
projected onto the back of the stage which illustrate perfectly
the universe that the trio is creating musically. The compositions
link a mixture of jazz grooves and genuine ethnic samples with
clips from 1950s films.The tracks are intended as soundtracks to
which everyone can create their own film, which gives loOps music a
universal dimension, which has been recognized
by radio stations throughout the world.The bands latest recording
will be available in early 2005 and to accompany the release Loop
will be touring Europe with a new live show which includes the
addition of a trumpet player.
