Hailing from the hallowed North of England, fellow beat diggers and
DJs Eddie Scratch, DC and Marc Kershaw have been supplying the funk
to clubs in Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield for the last 12 years.
Combining a shared love of hip hop, funk and electro, it was only a
matter of time before the boys got busy in the studio and here we
present to you the first fruits of their labour. Previously released
as a very limited 7ö, this track throws down a funkin bass alongside
fat mid paced drums and some hooky guitar and vocal samples to create
a tried and tested bumping funk number. Steppin up for remix duties
is FreestyleÆs very own Flow Dynamics (aka RhibosomeÆs Dave McKinney)
who picks up the tempo and adds his trademark flutes and deft
scratching for an all out dancefloor monster in a similar vein to the
massive ôLive in The Mixö. Rolling things out for the 4/4 heads is
Dave under his other alter ego (heÆs a busy guy!) Soul Harmonics û
retaining the swirling flutes and bumping beats, this mix heads down
a jazzier route taking in elements of MAW, DJ Spinna and St Germain
along the way.
