Calibre's ability to bring a warm, natural feel to the digital landscape raised interest
from Creative Source and Fabio, leading to 'Musique Concrete' a critically acclaimed
double album in 2001.
Since then Calibre has released for labels including Soul:R, CIA, 31, Defunked, V &
Critical and collaboration work under the Mist:I:Cal moniker with the Manchester ST:CAL
duo. Remixes been an outlet for CalibreÆs take on 21st century blues and soul, with
commissions from the likes of High Contrast, Badmarsh & Shri and US R&B up and
comer Jaheim.
His Signature imprint has been dedicated to his own productions and included the hits
'Mr Maverick' and 'Mr Majestik' - now an entire LP is ready to roll. 'Second Sun' gathers
early work such as 'Kiya', 'Is it You?' and 'Second Sun'; each well supported by Fabio,
Grooverider, Friction, Zinc, Bailey, High Contrast, Flight, Marcus Intalex and more.
Please note: the cd is being sold as "unmixed" but listening to the cd u can cleary tell
that the tracks fade into each other for a smoother listening pleasure so i
decided to rip this single file + .cue. if u dont like my way, funk off and
go buy yourself a copy - i did!
