These guys have taken Afro-Peruvian rhythms and added a Gotan Project
feel with tons of dub
thrown into it like N.O.Ws Smokers Delight. All the killer musicians
from 60s /70s period feature and
the album is full of traditional percussion, jaw bones wooden boxes
and alike. Remixes to follow.
Peruvian production collective Novalima is made up of four musicians,
based in Lima (Ramon Perez Prieto), Barcelona (Grimaldo Del Solar),
London (Rafael Morales) and Hong Kong (Carlos Li Carrillo). This
sampler from their album, mixed and co-produced by Toni Economides
(Da Lata, Nitin Sawney, 4Hero, Bugz in the Attic) showcases the
group's fabulous fusion.
