Release Notes:

Brand new Ghostly International and Spectral Sound sampler, enjoy some great
techno/house/industrial music.

Peter Grummuch:
Having recorded for the prestigious Sender and Kompakt imprints in addition to
co-running BerlinÆs Boot Records, Peter Grummich has joined the Spectral militia
as its first German artist. Grummich allows no relent, as his distinctively
jacking tracks crunch and stomp, rife with the soul of EuropeÆs techno capital
and just as apt for AmericaÆs. Above the precision of his massive beats there is
remnant grime perfect for the late night dancefloor, complemented by a finely
tuned sense of melodic detail.

Grummich debuted on Spectral with Searoom, the title track of which is a
mesmerizing voyage through lush synth washes and irresistible beats, and whose
B-sides exhibit strains of splattering kickdrums, disembodied voices and an
almost hedonistic penchant for deep, corollary basslines. Follow his exclusive
track ôArconaö from the Spectral Sound Vol. 1 compilation, Grummich will rekease
The Roll in late 2005. Long live the Berlin-Detroit connection.

Kill Memory Crash:
For over 10 years, Alex and Adam of Chicago's Kill Memory Crash have been
developing their own blend of dark electronic music, influenced by the sleaze
and decay of modern life. Having started their musical career in Detroit, Kill
Memory Crash began performing at raves and warehouse parties in the mid-to-late
90's, slowly translating their leftfield influences into their own cryptic
language. Because of their divided approach, the duo was forced to develop their
own style, with early works resembling dark chasms of industrial noise
underscored by rigorously precise rhythms. Their indifference to the popular
styles of the day led them into an almost self-imposed exile from the music
business and only extremely limited vinyl pressings ever surfaced until they
joined Ghostly International in 2002. Alex and Adam have honed their music to
its current state -- a sinister blend of industrial, glitched-out electro, and
ambient -- working away at the boundaries that held them as outsiders until now.
Their 2003 debut mini-LP When The Blood Turns Black proved a fine introduction
to the Ghostly brand, and their debut full-length American Automatic followed in
spring of 2005.

2 AM/FM:
Notorious sonic shape-shifter Tadd Mullinix has joined up with long-time
collaborator D'Marc Cantu to create 2 AM/FM, a new extension of the acid house
built by the pioneers of the 1980s and 90s. Raw, polyrhythmic drum boxes
underscore vampiric vocal treatments and cavernous synth lines that parallel
Mullinix's acclaimed work as James T. Cotton while staking a claim to the crate
of any DJ worth his salt.

While initially accessible for its jacking pulses and immediate hooks, the true
core of 2 AM/FM exists in the details, as the addition and subtraction of subtle
nuances and rhythmic shifts allow the duo to forge a set of mesmerizing sonic
labyrinths. Tribal rhythms overlap and entwine with groaning, processed samples
and infectious melodies to create a rich atmosphere unlike any record of its
kind. Like a lost classic from the heyday of Chicago house, 2 AM/FM has the
unique status of being both the sound of the past and of the future.
