...So we head back in time to late 88 early 89 when
Trancentral is a hive of activity. The White Room
film is in full swing the soundtrack is
being recorded and the first single ready to smash
the charts.
Live at Trancentral recordings are being mixed. A
more ambient album is the next idea being floated
around.
Kylie flops.....
The White Room soundtrack is put on ice, the money
runs out to finish the film - Oh Shit!
Bill and Jimmy take stock. They have some great
stuff recorded. The ambient sessions have come
together well so that may now be the next
release.
They decide to overhaul Go to Sleep, remove the
vocals, it fits well with the "Chill Out" concept.
They do a few remixes. They choose one and
add it to the recordings along with "Madrugada
Eterna". A new single "Last Train to Trancentral"
is announced December 1989. Chill Out the album
is finished.
Chill Out is released in February 1990. Last Train
To Trancentral Remix is released a month later. The
White Room film and original soundtrack
is shelved and forgotten for now....
A - Make It Rain (Original long version)
7min 10secs. A cracking start to the series. This
version runs over 3 minutes longer than any
released and contains some great unheard parts.
B - Make It Rain 92 Remix (Instrumental)
6min 20secs. The only track here from a later time.
Possibly a relic from the abandoned "MU Remix LP".
I thought it fitted well here as it is a
direct remix from the original. Maybe one of the
last recordings the "KLF" put together before
abandoning all musical output.
