██▓▓ Eddie Flashin Fowlkes, along with Derrick ██▓▓
██▓▓ May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson, ██▓▓
██▓▓ counts himself among the originators of the ██▓▓
██▓▓ Detroit Techno Sound, if not of techno ██▓▓
██▓▓ itself. As with most of Detroits new and ██▓▓
██▓▓ brash electronic music artists of the late ██▓▓
██▓▓ 80ies / early 90ies, Fowlkes European ██▓▓
██▓▓ exposure began under TresorÆs wing. During ██▓▓
██▓▓ one of his early visits to Berlin he joined ██▓▓
██▓▓ the dynamic 3MB production team (Thomas ██▓▓
██▓▓ Fehlmann and Moritz von Oswald) for the ██▓▓
██▓▓ recording of Tresors third release. The ██▓▓
██▓▓ result is this double LP of sounds breaking ██▓▓
██▓▓ sounds, beats breaking beats. On tracks 1-5 ██▓▓
██▓▓ the techno tradition is upheld with unusual, ██▓▓
██▓▓ free-jazzy synth stabs and experimental ██▓▓
██▓▓ electronics while tracks 6 & 7 find Fowlkes ██▓▓
██▓▓ right back in soul form, bringing teknoid ██▓▓
██▓▓ funk into the limelight of 1992 dance music. ██▓▓
